The Mabank Panthers Varsity Football team lost to the Longview Pine Tree Pirates by a score of 6-38 in their first district competition. The Panthers offense with Kaden Penland (pictured) at quarterback settled into a familiar rushing attack style offense. Defensively the Panthers flew to the ball and made some big plays that stalled some of Pine Tree's drives. In the end Pine Tree was able to finish the game on top.
The Panthers now shift their focus to the 5-1 Henderson Lions. The Lions and Panthers kick off at 7:30 in Henderson's Lions Stadium on Friday, October 11.
