The Mabank Cross Country team kicked off their season with a strong showing at the Kaufman Invitational, competing against a talented field of runners from across the region. The event featured races for JV Girls, Varsity Girls, and Varsity Boys, with each squad displaying grit, determination, and team spirit.

Our athletes showed tremendous effort today. They pushed themselves from start to finish, and this meet gives us a great starting point for the season.

In the JV Girls division, the younger runners demonstrated resilience and steady pacing, many achieving personal bests. The Varsity Girls battled on a challenging course, working together to maintain a strong team pack. Meanwhile, the Varsity Boys capped off the meet with a competitive race that saw several standout performances and close finishes.

The meet not only served as a season opener but also as a chance for athletes to gauge their training progress and build momentum heading into upcoming competitions.

The Mabank Cross Country team will return to action at the Run in the Shade Meet at Emory Rains, continuing their pursuit of faster times and stronger finishes throughout the fall season.
