The Mabank Panthers split their freshman team into two teams and both played their first game on Thursday night.

The Freshman "White" team played at home against Scurry Rosser. The Panthers played a hard fought game that came down to the very last play, but came up short. 14-20 was the final score. They had a very good showing for their first contest out of the gate.

The Freshman "Green" team struggled early against a very good Bullard Panther team. Mabank went down 0-20 before the lightning struck during the 2nd quarter and spoiled any chance for a comeback. After a few more lightning strikes our boys were sent home, and the game was canceled.
