The boys' golf team competed in round 1 of the regional golf tournament today at Van Zandt Country Club in Canton, TX. The Panthers shot a 297 and hold a 3 stroke lead over Sulphur Springs, with round 2 scheduled for tomorrow morning. Jacob Steele led Mabank with an even par 72 and currently is tied for second place individually. Other scores for the Panthers were Gunnar McGilvra 74 (t-4), Cameron Van Horn 75 (6), Lawson Shackelford 76 (t-7), Trace Donnell 83 (t-26), and Asher Brackenridge 85 (t-35).
