The Varsity Girls Track and Field team traveled to Lindale on 4/11/24 to compete in the Area Track Meet. The team had great success by placing third overall and advancing many athletes to the Regional Track Meet that will be held at the University of North Texas next week.

The Lady Panthers set a new school record for the 4x200 Meter Relay, breaking the previous record by 3 seconds, placing 4th and advancing to Regionals. The 4x400 Meter Relay placed second, also advancing to Regionals.

Relays Advancing to Regionals:
- 4x400 Meter Relay 2nd place
(Ember Larson, Kendal Woods, Cian Wicks-Ashley, and Trista Etheridge)
- 4x200 Meter Relay 4th place and a new school record!
(Ember Larson, Cian Wicks-Ashley, Maddie Glover and Kai Hudson)

Individual Events Advancing to Regionals:
- Trista Etheridge (Area Champion in the 800 Meter Run, Area Champion in the 1600 Meter Run)
- Kendal Woods (2nd Place in High Jump, 4th Place in 300 Hurdles)
- Adelaide Murphy (4th in the 800 Meter Run, 3rd in the 1600 Meter Run)
- Cian Wicks- Ashley (3rd Place in the 200 Meter Run)
- Felicity Torres (4th in the1600 Meter Run)
